A $1.2 billion Bahraini-German petrochemical plant is to be established in the kingdom, GDN reported Tuesday. Negotiations are in the final stages and an official announcement may be made during the visit of German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder to Bahrain on March 2.
The plant will create at least 500 high-skilled jobs. The plant will produce polyproplene and polyethylene from naphtha, which is available from Bapco."
The joint venture partnership project will have Bahraini investors as the major shareholders.
