ALBAWABA - TikTok is no longer the favourite application among pro-Palestinians, especially after its takeover by the U.S. A new-similar application called "UpScrolled" is dominating app stores and is getting supported by dozens of thousands of people.
Oracle, which is led by Larry Ellison, who has ties to Israel, along with a group of investors took over TikTok's US operations last week, pushing people to leave the app with the aim of finding a replacement.
In addition, TikTok has been facing repeated glitches as users have complained about having issues accessing the platform at different times.
What is UpScrolled?

UpScrolled is a platform for sharing photos, videos, and text, and it aims to remain ‘impartial’ to political agendas. The TikTok replacer app is available on Android and iOS.
UpScrolled was founded in 2025 by Issam Hijazi, who is a Palestinian-Jordanian-Australian technologist. The app assures users that they can "freely express thoughts."
It currently holds the 12th spot in Apple's App Store, as it is becoming more recognizable by people as a replacement for TikTok amid fears of tightening freedom of speech on the originally Chinese app after its acquisition by the U.S.
On the Play Store, UpScrolled was downloaded by more than 100,000 users, and it gained over 5,000 positive reviews.
