Recently published statistics by the Emirates Central Bank show that the volume of exchanges between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia increased from 4.2 billion Emirati Dirhams (one billion dollars) in 1998 to Dh 4.4 billion in 1999, reported Al-Bayan .
