The Palestinian Authority and the World Bank have recently signed three agreements in Gaza, worth a total of $27.5 million. These contracts, reported by Al-Hayat, aim to develop local infrastructure projects as well as promote the local judiciary system.
Two of these agreements, which are based on a $20 million Saudi aid, are geared toward building court complexes in Gaza and Ramallah. The third one, based on a $7.5 million soft loan from the World Bank, is aimed at developing infrastructure facilities.
An additional report appearing in Al-Hayat stated that the UK-based British Gas Company had begun a search and excavation project for natural gas in Palestine. This project is being conducted at the Palestinian Gas Field along the coasts of Gaza, an area owned entirely by the Palestinians. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
