Third GSM license granted in Jordan

Jordan's Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) approved the granting of UMNIAH the third GSM license to operate a new mobile telecommunications network in the kingdom. 

 

Chief Executive Officer of UMNIAH, Michael Dagher, held a press conference on Saturday in which he presented a future working plan to develop the mobile telecommunications sector through attracting investments, introducing new and advanced technologies, enhancing quality telecommunication services, creating job opportunities for Jordanians, and expanding the scope of service with affordable prices for all. 

 

According to Petra news agency, Dagher expected that the volume of the company's investments would amount to JD 250 million, the return from this initiative to the Jordanian economy will exceed JD 450 million, and the company will provide 500 direct and 1500 indirect job opportunities. 

 

UMNIAH company has strategic partners such as Huawei Technologies, HP Hewllet Packard, and BRIDGE Consulting. (menareport.com)
