UK-based Thames Water, has officially announced the commencement of business operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The wastewater specialist intends to establish itself in the UAE to meet the growing demand in the region.
Thames Water Strategy Director for Germany, Middle East and Africa’s Jim Bentley, made the formal announcement explaining that the UAE represented a major potential growth market for the company and a base to develop future operations throughout the Gulf region.
The announcement comes after Thames Water has established a number of prospective business partnerships in the UAE. The first of these developments is the company’s partnership with the Government of Ajman and other private sector developers in creating the Ajman Sewerage Project.
Thames Water has a 400-year history of providing water to people in the UK. When the company was privatized 15 years ago it began a program of expansion to use its technological experience, expertise and commitment to sustainable development to help in infrastructure and utility development and management all over the world. — (menareport.com)
