Revenues gained during the month of June from Suez Canal operations dropped by nearly $1.18 million, to $155.9 million dollars.
This figure reflects a decrease compared with the previous month of May 2001, when revenues reached $167.7 million, according to Xinhua.
Furthermore, in May, 1,264 shipping and transport vessels passed through the canal. In contrast, only 1,168 vessels passed through the canal in June.
Moreover, of the reported vessels traversing the canal during the month of May, 265 were oil tankers. In June, however, only 235 of all vessels in the canal were oil tankers. –(MENA Report)
