Some 10,000 Palestinians who live in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip are being allowed to travel to their jobs in Israel despite the current closure of the borders, a military source said Tuesday.
The list of those authorized has been established after very close security scrutiny, the source said.
The Israeli army has prolonged indefinitely an order closing off Israel to Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, affecting more than 100,000 people who worked legally or on the black market in Israel.
Their wages constitute a major source of income for the two territories. – (AFP)
