Saudi electrical and electronic market is growing steadily. The market volume is estimated to be around SR13 billion ($3.46 billion). “Together with the increasing demand for electrical and electronic goods, there is a growing demand for better quality, variety, service and value-for-money,” Hani Hinnawi, marketing manager of United Electronics Company (UEC) told Arab News daily.
According to him, the market is set to witness a strong revival in demand, especially with the entry of Chinese goods.
With its third showroom opening in Alkhobar in September, and four other new branches set for next year, UEC is planning to have 10 more “Extra” showrooms, elsewhere in the Kingdom. New showrooms are to be located in Makkah, Madinah, Taif, Tabuk, Abha, Qasim and other cities and towns. “We’re investing SR800 million in these 15 projects,” Hinawi said. (menareport.com)
