The Saad Trade & Contracting Group will celebrate the initiation of one part of the Saad hospital in Al-Khobar region, Saudi Arabia this coming September. According to a report in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat daily, the hospital will expand over an area of 120,000 square meters and contain 507 beds. 257 of these beds will be available for use already by this first phase.
The entire complex will include the Saad Conference Center, containing a 1000 seat auditorium and 30 conference rooms with a 10 to 30 person capacity, satellite and computer linkages, with a closed circuit video network to enable inter room conferencing.
In addition, there will be on-campus residences for staff, recreation facilities including swimming pools, a gymnasium and tennis courts. There will also be a pharmacy and a clinic adjacent to the hospital building.
The chairman of the board of the Saad hospital, Maen Al-Sanea, stated that a medical wastes recycling facility, costing SR8 million, was built in the Damman industrial zone (2), in order to facilitate the disposal of hospital waste.
