Prince Faisal, the Regent, received at Raghadan Palace on Sunday participants in the meeting of the Federation of Brokers in Arab Financial Markets, and called for a greater measure of regional cooperation to achieve the aspired for economic progress.
Prince Faisal, who conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Abdullah, said the Kingdom was hoping to accelerate economic activities to attain higher levels of economic growth.
Federation Chairman Shadi Hanna presented a briefing on the federation's work and financial policies that are designed to facilitate comprehensive economic development.
He said the federation assists Arab countries to carry out joint ventures in an effort to ensure stability and prosperity to the Arab world.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Michel Marto and head of the Jordanian Society of Financial Market Brokers Jamal Fariz.
Also on Sunday, Prince Faisal visited the Ministry of Transport, where the minister, Mohammad Kalaldeh, briefed him on privatization plans for the Royal Civil Aviation Academy, the Aqaba Railway Corporation and for creation of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone. — ( Jordan Times )
