Syrian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa Miro and Qatari Finance Minister Yussef Hussein Kamal discussed here Saturday how to encourage Qatari investment in Syria, the official SANA news agency said.
They talked about "developing trade and economic ties and stimulating Qatari investment in banking and tourism" in Syria.
Kamal's delegation said it was interested in investing in Damascus, building commercial centers and hotels in the Syrian capital, SANA said.
When the delegation arrived in Damascus Friday, Kamal said it was bringing a message from Qatar's ruler, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, to President Bashar al-Assad on developing economic ties and mutual investments.
