Announcing the winners of the first qualifying round of the 2013 Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge

Xerox is pleased to announce the winners of the first round of the 2013 Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge, which took place at the Royal Golf Club in Riffa, Bahrain. A total of 50 teams with 100 players participated in the first round of the tournament.

Winners Simon Brebner and Murray Brown, who triumphed with a net score of 66, now have the opportunity to compete at the Grand Final taking place at the Emirates Golf Club on October 23.

Runners up in second place were Abdulla Sultan and Shaker Hubail, while third place was awarded to Heinz Hurter and IlyaGoniker.

During the course of the tournament there were a number of other winners such as the ‘nearest the pin’ which went to Ritchie Whitby and Danni Sheppard, and the ‘longest drive’ winners were Andre Williams and Andy Wieser.

The tournament is supported by main sponsors AVIS Rent a Car and ABB and co – sponsored by ECCO, Crystal Gallery, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas, VPAR, Dubai Golf, Khaleej Times and Golf Digest.
