Xerox corporate golf challenge returns to UAE for the sixth qualifying round

Xerox, the leading enterprise for business process and document management and organiser of the 15^th Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge (XCGC), announces the sixth qualifying round of the tournament, taking place on April 25 at The Dubai Creek and Yacht Golf Club, Dubai, UAE, with entries of more than 50 teams consisting of 100 players.

The par 71 course measures 6,967 yards, and the championship course has played host to a range of high profile events including the PGA European Tour Dubai Desert Classic and the Asian PGA Tour. The club has received a host of accolades over the years, with recognition to its many facilities, including being awarded the Best Clubhouse in the Best of the Best Awards by Golf World.

Twice named ‘Best Corporate Golf Event in the Middle East, the tournament is supported by main sponsors Avis Rent a Car and ABB, who have been associated with the XCGC for two years. Co-sponsors also supporting the tournament include ECCO, the ‘nearest the pin’ and ‘longest drive’ sponsor, Crystal Gallery, the trophy sponsor, and Khaleej Times as the media sponsor, who have been associated with the tournament for more than 10 years.

The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge is also supported by Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas as the Hotel Sponsor and Golf Digest, the Official Magazine Sponsor for the past two years. New additions to this year’s competition is Dubai Golf, who manages the tournament, Scorpio Golf as the Supplier Sponsor and VPAR, who is providing the UAE qualifying rounds and grand final with live golf scoring technology.

The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge, which is a sporting event held in all GCC countries and this year includes South Africa, consists of 11 qualifying rounds. Winners of all qualifying rounds will participate in the grand finals which will be held in its new location, the Emirates Golf Club, Dubai, UAE on October 23. Winners of the grand final will get the chance to play in the PRO AM category of the 2013 DP World Tour Dubai Championship.
