Xerox today introduced the WorkCentre 7220/7225 color multifunction printers (MFPs) enabled with the new Xerox ConnectKey, a software system and a set of solutions to simplify how work gets done.

The WorkCentre 7200 series ConnectKey MFPs include the industry’s first embedded security protection from McAfee, giving IT managers more control as the “bring your own device” (BYOD) trend continues to grow in global workplaces. ConnectKey MFPs have an extra layer of security with Cisco’s TrustSec, which protects data paths to and from the devices.

Ideal for small workgroups, the WorkCentre 7220/7225 adds new options for mobile printing and scanning and integrates with cloud-based technologies, and takes up less space with its compact design.

The devices print color and black-and-white jobs at 20 or 25 pages per minute respectively, with a first-page-out time of 11 seconds. The MFPs also offer exceptional image quality with 2400 x 600 dpi.

The color touch screen provides easy access to several time-saving capabilities, including: scanning files directly to a mobile device or email account, and creating searchable and secure PDFs. The remote control panel feature lets users operate the devices’ user interface from any office workstation.

For businesses concerned with being sensitive to the environment, the WorkCentre 7200 series scanner uses LED lighting, which consumes a third of the power of traditional scanners that use fluorescent lamps. Additionally, two-sided printing is set as the default setting and the Earth Smart feature allows users to select other settings to lessen the environmental impact, such as no printing banner pages.

Availability

The Xerox WorkCentre7220/7225 MFPs will be available in the region within the year.
