Simon Howells appointed as Managed Print Services Manager, Xerox MEA

Xerox, a leader in document management and business processes reengineering, recently announced the appointment of Simon Howells as Managed Print Services (MPS) Manager, Global Document Outsourcing of Xerox Middle East & Africa. Simon’s primary role is to expand the company’s Managed Print Services division to address the needs of large organisations across in the Middle East. He will also further enhance the relationships with partners across the region selling Xerox Partner Print Services.

Howells joined Xerox in 2003 at its UK operations on a graduate sales program and commenced his career as a Strategic Account Manager in the division responsible for Xerox’s publishing and Graphic Arts business in the UK. After handling various sales roles he went on to become the European Account Manager for one of Xerox’s largest clients in 2008. He then joined Xerox Middle East and Africa and moved to Dubai, UAE, to build and drive the Managed Print Services business in the Middle East.

There is a significant market opportunity for genuine print services in the Middle East that will help clients reduce their costs, and improve their business efficiencies and workflow,” said Simon Howells.

Howells graduated with a BA Hons degree from The University of West of England, Bristol. In the 10 years he has been at Xerox, he spent seven years in the UK exceeding targets and winning several awards in addition to the UK MD’s Award for Excellence. On arriving in the UAE almost three years ago, Howells joined Xerox Emirates as the Global Document Outsourcing (GDO) Sales Director, specifically focusing on developing the MPS offering within the UAE. Within two years Howells achieved accelerated success within the UAE and in January 2013 was appointed to a more regional role focusing on the sales pursuits with Xerox Accredited Print Services Partners across the Middle East.

Xerox is the worldwide market leader for MPS, having earned the top spot in all major analyst reports this past year and has a rapidly growing number of successful implementations and reference accounts.
