Xerox announces the Seventh Qualifying Round of the XCGC at Dirab Golf and Country Club

Xerox, the leading enterprise for business process and document management and organiser of the 15^th Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge (XCGC), announces the seventh qualifying round of the tournament, taking place on May 3at The Dirab Golf & Country Club in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. More than 50 teams (100 players) have entered to play in the seventh round.

Dirab Golf & Country Club is the first grassed 18-hole Par 72 Championship and 9-hole Par 27 Academy golf course in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Open all year round, the course offers practice facilities such as driving range, putting greens and the Golf Academy. Nine holes of the golf course are floodlit enabling play after sundown. Having hosted the 1st Saudi Arabian National Amateur Championship in 2001 and the 10th Annual GCC Golf Championship, the Dirab Golf Club is equally suited for seasoned golfers and for those wishing to learn the sport.

Twice named ‘Best Corporate Golf Event in the Middle East, the tournament is supported by main sponsors Avis Rent a Car and ABB, who have been associated with the XCGC for two years. Co-sponsors also supporting the tournament include ECCO, the ‘nearest the pin’ and ‘longest drive’ sponsor, Crystal Gallery, the trophy sponsor, and Khaleej Times as the media sponsor, who have been associated with the tournament for more than 10 years.

The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge is also supported by Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas as the Hotel Sponsor and Golf Digest, the Official Magazine Sponsor for the past two years. New additions to this year’s competition is Dubai Golf, who manages the tournament, Scorpio Golf as the Supplier Sponsor and VPAR, who is providing the UAE qualifying rounds and grand final with live golf scoring technology.

The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge, which is a sporting event held in all GCC countries and this year includes South Africa, consists of 11 qualifying rounds. Winners of all qualifying rounds will participate in the grand finals which will be held in its new location, the Emirates Golf Club, Dubai, UAEon October 23. Winners of the grand final will get the chance to play in the PRO AM category of the 2013 DP World Tour Dubai Championship.
