Visa donates FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup tickets to SOS Children’s Villages Association of Jordan

A team from global payments technology company Visa (NYSE:V) recently visited the SOS Children’s Village in Amman to donate 20 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup tickets to SOS Children.
Located in Amman, Irbid and Aqaba, SOS Children’s Villages are home to 280 vulnerable children who receive long-term, family-based care, education and training. Among the children at the association is Alanoud a defender on the Jordan women’s U-17 national team in the FIFA U-17 tournament.
Teams will play a total of 32 matches over 11 days across the three host cities of Amman, Irbid and Zarqa. The final will be held on 21 October, 2016, at Amman International Stadium.
Countries participating in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup include host country Jordan, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, England, Germany, Ghana, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Paraguay, Spain, United States and Venezuela. Japan are reigning champions, having lifted the trophy in Costa Rica in 2014.
