UAE hosts Gulf Financial and Economic Integration Forum

The UAE will be hosting the Gulf Financial and Economic Integration Forum, organized by the Ministry of Finance (MoF), at the Emirates Palace Hotel on Sunday, October 23, 2011. Participants will include a number of experts in the area of financial and economic blocs who will be discussing the various economic opportunities and challenges for the GCC region.
Commenting on the upcoming forum, HE Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, said: “The UAE will be hosting the Gulf Financial and Economic Integration Forum in line with its commitment to achieving financial and economic integration among GCC states. The forum will highlight the various opportunities and challenges present for the creation of a strong Gulf Common Market (GCM), which is able to compete globally, where attendees will hold discussions on how to best address these issues.”
