Tamkeen strengthens direct outreach with the public

Tamkeen Chairman and Acting Chief Executive HE Shaikh Mohammad bin Issa Al Khalifa welcomed the newest local community representatives at a meeting which took place at Tamkeen’s headquarters. The representatives are a key part of the organisation’s community outreach initiative, which seeks to strengthen direct outreach with the various segments of the community, and enhance awareness of the multitude of support programmes and services provided by Tamkeen to develop enterprises and Bahrainis in the private sector. 

The 8 new representatives are from the Capital, Muharraq and Northern Governorates, bringing the total number of local community representatives to 26. To date, the initiative has helped conduct numerous orientation sessions and workshops in majlises civil society organisations societies across the Kingdom which have focused on applying Tamkeen’s new customer-centric strategy and enriching communication with all segments of the community.

Tamkeen

Tamkeen is a public authority established in August 2006, tasked with supporting Bahrain’s private sector and positioning it as the key driver of economic growth and development. Tamkeen is one of the cornerstones of Bahrain’s national reform initiatives and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

Tamkeen has two primary objectives - firstly, foster the development and growth of enterprises, and second provide support to enhance the productivity and training of the national workforce. To achieve these objectives -Tamkeen’s 2018-2020 strategy focuses on Diversifying offerings, Accelerate delivery and Sustaining Impact.
