Standard Chartered participates in first UAE – UK Pioneers Forum

Standard Chartered Bank has announced that it will be participating in the first-ever UAE – UK Pioneers Forum running from between 18 and 19 January, 2014 at Victoria House, Bloomsbury in Holborn, London. The participation at the event reflects the Bank’s commitment towards the career development of Emirati Nationals as well as talent from other Arab Nations to lead the banking industry in the UAE. Standard Chartered is also one of the main sponsors of the forum. 

The UAE – UK Pioneers Forum is the very first event of its kind being held under the support of the UAE Government. Standard Chartered’s active involvement comes in line with its contin-uous efforts to attract, train and retain talent for its 2014 recruitment pipelines. The event is expected to witness a substantial participation by UAE Nationals and other Arab graduates, with around 2,000 to 3,000 attendees expected during the conference.

During the two-day event, Standard Chartered will conduct a one-hour presentation on the bank’s International Graduate and UAE National Programmes. The session will be headed by Nicholas Harvey, Regional Head  of Talent Acquisition for Middle East  and Pakistan; and Mohamed Omar – Head of Emiratization Initiatives at the Bank in the UAE. 

Initiated by the UAE Embassy in London, the UAE – UK Pioneers Forum has been created to offer an opportunity to Emirati and British students to interact with business leaders from both countries and highlight career prospects available in the UAE. The event will feature a range of presentations and talks by the UAE’s industry leaders who will give valuable insight on the country’s job market.
