Regional honor bestowed on Arab Bank, named Bank of the Year

Arab Bank was honored as “Bank of the Year” during the Arabian Business Awards on November 20 at the Armani Hotel in Dubai. The Bank received the award based on its strong performance during the year, exceptional leadership and overall contribution to the region’s development. 

The awards ceremony gathered the Middle East’s economic, business and cultural leaders to highlight the people and institutions who have excelled in their respective fields during the year. The Arabian Business Awards are considered one of the most prestigious awards in the business calendar and recognize outstanding performances across all sectors of business. 

Commenting on this achievement, Mr. Abdel Hamid Shoman, Chairman of Arab Bank said: “This award affirms Arab Bank’s leading position as the MENA bank of choice. It is also noteworthy to mention that Arab Bank received several awards in 2011, including Best Trade Finance Provider in the Middle East and Best Consumer Internet Bank and Best Foreign Exchange Provider in Jordan from Global Finance Magazine. The Bank also received Best Bank in Jordan from Euromoney.
