PwC Middle East welcomes 270 graduates in the region
PwC Middle East, one of the leading professional services firms in the region, welcomed more than 270 graduates across its business in the Middle East. This marks the region’s largest gathering of graduates in the professional services field and underpins the firm’s confidence and commitment to develop and nurture young talent in the region.
The 2016 graduate intake kicked off with a week-long induction on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The induction concluded with a gala dinner hosted by the firm’s regional leadership team, including Territory Senior Partner, Hani Ashkar. The graduates have now begun a two to three year development programme across PwC Middle East’s offices.
Commenting on the graduate intake, PwC Middle East Territory Senior Partner, Hani Ashkar, said: “The world is changing, so too are the aspirations and motivations of our people and the requirements of our clients – and we need to keep up with those changes. At PwC Middle East, we understand and acknowledge the importance of millennials and what makes them tick. Our new graduates will enjoy an inclusive environment throughout their careers, providing them with the resources, role models, mentors and support which contribute to their success.”
“Our annual graduate induction is one of the highlights of our calendar year and one of the things we are most proud of at PwC – and for good reason.” PwC Middle East People Partner, Emma Campbell added. “The firm has continued to perform strongly with accelerating growth over the last 12 months, evidenced by its increasing presence and people in the Middle East. At PwC, we are committed to heavily investing in the region by attracting, retaining and developing the best talent out there.”
PwC’s class of 2016 comprised 28% GCC Nationals. The graduates will join PwC’s growing team of 4,000 professionals across the Middle East, with the firm having hired over 1,100 people in the last twelve months alone.
