Plug Ins expects smartphones and super-size TV’s to drive sales of consumer electronics during ADES

Plug Ins, the UAE’s first multi-brand consumer electronics retailer, is anticipating strong demand for consumer electronics products during the Abu Dhabi Electronics Shopper slated to be held from March 18 till 21 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

The Al-Futtaim company expects sales of CE products to increase 40% driven mainly by demand for the latest smartphones and super-size TV’s – 55” and above.

Sean Connor, General Manager of Plug Ins said Abu Dhabi has an increasing population of consumers with medium to high disposable incomes and traditionally the big ticket items such as the latest smartphones and big size panels tend to do really well. He said: “We are extremely pleased to be participating at the ADES for the third time. The capital has always been a key market for us and we’ve seen a steady increase in visitor footfall to our stores located in Marina Mall, Yas Mall and Al Wadha Mall.

“We look forward to engaging with our customers and offering them the best deals on CE products and other exciting offers during the ADES,” he added. 

This will be the third time in a row that Plug Ins will be participating at the ADES and visitors to the stand can expect one major deal which will be announced every hour during the shopper. In addition, on a minimum purchase of AED 1,000 and above, customers will get a chance to spin the wheel and win guaranteed prizes. There are also exclusive ‘experience’ zones for customers where they can touch and feel the product prior to purchase.
