PepsiCo-Jordan announces winners of ‘The Globe, Our Playfield’ football tournament and ‘Most Talented Player’ title

PepsiCo-Jordan hasannounced the winning team of‘The Globe, Our Playfield’ football tournament finals which took place on Saturday 26 April, 2014, at the Applied Science Private University in Amman. Led by coach Waleed Mikhael, the winning team consisted of Ibrahim Qandil, Majdi Qandil, Noor Al Khaza’aleh, Amjad Al Qroum, Fadi Al Natour and Bahaa’ Al Din Al Kiswani. Furthermore, PepsiCo-Jordan named Obaidah Faleh Al Samryeh as winner of the ‘Most Talented Player’ title in recognition of his outstanding football skills throughout the tournament.     

The winning team received an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai for three days/two nights. Alternately, the winner of the ‘Most Talented Player’ title was awarded a grand prize comprising an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Brazil for six days/five nights between 11 and 16 June, 2014. During the trip, Obaidah will visit several iconic touristic landmarks in Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro, as well as take part in the various cultural and artistic activities Brazil has to offer. Obaidah will also be invited to an exclusive Pepsi House Party and will get the chance to visit the Football Museum and the Brazil Football Clinic for a meet-and-greet with an international football legend, among other unique experiences.

‘The Globe, Our Playfield’ is a 5*5 football tournament targeting players between the ages of 16 and 28 that took place between 11 and 26 April, 2014, in stadiums across the Kingdom. To participate, interested candidates were required to visit www.f5jo.com or contact a toll-free hotline. During the Preliminary Rounds which were held in Irbid, Mafraq, Zarqa, Ajloun and Amman, the Judging Committee - comprised of a group of renowned Jordanian football experts, players and coaches, as well as a PepsiCo-Jordan representative - shortlisted 32 teams to compete in the finals.
