NBO Wins Third Consecutive Award for Mobile App From International Business Magazine

Continuing to pioneer modern banking in the Sultanate, National Bank of Oman (NBO) has been given the award for ‘Best Mobile Banking App Oman 2021’ from International Business Magazine. It’s the third consecutive year the bank has been awarded by the Dubai-based publication, which recognises companies who are class-leaders in their respective fields. As the pinnacle of its digital transformation, the bank’s innovative mobile app continues to evolve, offering its customers a host of smart solutions that make their lives easier.
Abdul Karim Al Hinai, Deputy General Manager – Chief Transformation Officer at NBO, said, “We’re delighted to have been honoured once again with this prestigious award, which is a testament to our ability to keep up with the changing trends of the market and our customers’ needs. The last year has changed the way our customers interact with banking and the app has been integral to our relationship with them, enabling them to continue to manage their finances from wherever they are. As we continue on our journey towards becoming a fully digitally-enabled bank, we are finding more ways to make the experience seamless, inclusive, and more enjoyable.”
NBO has upgraded its award-winning mobile app with a host of new state-of-the-art features centred on the premise of making its customers’ lives easier. These include, most recently, an international remittance service, the ability to reset card PINs, transfer receipts for instant sharing, and tap and share account information for quicker transactions. The latest award adds to a growing list of accolades the app has garnered, which include the Best Mobile Banking App Oman by International Finance Banking in 2020 and 2019, Most Innovative Mobile Banking App – Oman at the annual Global Business Outlook Awards 2020, and the Best Mobile Banking App Oman by Oman Economic Review in 2018. Free to download and easy to use, it’s just one of the ways NBO is empowering its customers to take care of their finances and making their lives easier.
