The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) extends its exclusive partnership with IRONKIDS, a running competition taking place alongside the highly anticipated IRONMAN Championship, aimed at young athletes pursuing an active and healthy lifestyle in a supportive, motivational, and empowering environment. The IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship Bahrain is set to return to the Kingdom from 7th to 9th December 2022, at Reef Island.

As an unwavering supporter of the initiative, NBB has been an exclusive partner of IRONKIDS and IRONGIRL from 2017 to 2019. Marking its 4th year as a longstanding partner, the Bank’s contribution to the programme underscores its ongoing commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among youth in the Kingdom. NBB believes in uplifting nationwide events that aim to contribute to the overall wellbeing of various members of society.

Commenting on the occasion, Mohamed AlQassimi, Business Marketing & Partnerships Manager at NBB, said: “We are proud to be returning as an exclusive partner of IRONKIDS and IRONGIRL in conjunction with this year’s IRONMAN Championship in Bahrain. The long-awaited event will serve to gather youth in our local community to participate in sports activities that encourage a healthy lifestyle. Amal Almurbati, the Managing Director and Board Member of Faalyat commented, "We are thrilled to once again have NBB as the Exclusive Partner of IRONKIDS. NBB’s commitment to supporting sporting events such as IRONKIDS highlights the importance of creating an inspirational environment where children and young adults learn how healthier living can enhance their well-being and inspire the athlete in all of us.”

IRONKIDS participants will be segmented according to different age groups, from 3 to 17 years old, with each group running a distance ranging between 100m to 2.5km. The IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship invites athletes to join short and unique courses, including a bike course at the Bahrain International Circuit race track.
