Enhancing Cooperation between The Municipal system and Singapore
As step to enhance cooperation and exchange knowledge and experience in the Municipal services in general and contractors and consultants classifications in particular, a delegation from the Municipal System in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi started a visit to Singapore. The delegation is headed by H.E. Mohamed Sughayer Al Dhaheri, Managing Director of the Municipal Affairs Governance Sector at the Department of Municipal Affairs ( DMA) and includes a number of officials in different sectors in the DMA and the Emirate’s Municipalities, Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain City and the Western Region.
The delegation had a meeting with Singaporean officials in the Building and Construction Authority and Board of Architects in addition to the Professional Engineers Board.
The meeting discussed ways of enhancing knowledge and cooperation in areas related to the Contractors and Consultants Classification, and Engineers Registration and exchanging ideas to enhance the work mechanism and services provided in this sector.
H.E. Mohamed Suqhayer Al Dhaheri the Managing Director of the Municipal Affairs Governance Sector in the DMA commented on the trip by referring to the strong relations between the UAE and Singapore in all different sectors and saying that this visit will enable the Municipal System to share ideas and knowledge with the Singaporean authorities in the area of Contractors and Consultants Classification, and Engineers Registration, adding that this visit will widen our experience to enhance services provided by the Municipal System to the residents, investors, Engineers and Consultants.
It is worth mentioning that the Contractors and Consultants Classification, and Engineers Registration System in the Department of Municipal Affairs plays an important role in terms of strengthening the regulations of the contractors sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which makes a significant contribution to the local economy.
