Mercedes-Benz Oman premiers class-leading new school bus at school transport and safety exhibition

Mercedes-Benz Oman premiered at the School Transport and Safety Exhibition from May 7^th – 9^th. The three day event held under the auspices of Her Excellency Dr. Madiha Al Shaibani, Minister of Education showcased the best in school transport available in Oman. Always considered the automotive industry’s leader in safety and innovation, the iconic brand attracted attention with the new School Bus OF 917 RF C.

Powered by 170 hp Mercedes-Benz turbocharged Euro 3 diesel engine, the OF 917 RF C boasts a range of state-of-the-art protection features for the young passengers on board. Standing out amongst its attributes are its high stability and powerful ABS braking system as well as its Automatic Stop Arm.  The sturdy bus also benefits from safety glass and breakable windows, a fire suppression system, fire extinguishers, and an emergency rear exit. To ensure a secure ride on every journey, each of the fire-resistant comfortable 36 seats is equipped with a standard 3-point seat belt. There’s anti-slip and skid vinyl on the floor to avoid mishaps while CCTV keeps a watchful eye on the young travellers. As an added precaution, the integrated rear view camera gives the driver a useful extra view of the road.
