Mashreq inaugurates dedicated Executive General Management Certificate Program for employees

Leading financial institution, Mashreq announced the inauguration of a specifically designed learning program for employees. This is in collaboration with Xavier School of Management (XLRI) to offer an Executive General Management Certificate Program. The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior management of the Bank, Director of XLRI and the cohort of participants.

This is in line with Mashreq’s commitment to ensure staff development and its intent for continuous support to develop their skills and self-development.

The program was initiated by Mashreq Learning Systems, the Learning and Development arm of Mashreq, which designs and implements various learning courses and development initiatives. This XLRI program is delivered in partnership with Allied Institute of Management Studies, Dubai. During the inauguration, a program overview and a road map was shared with the attendees specially identified from the Retail Banking Group.

This modular mini MBA program is customized for Mashreq and is aimed at preparing a robust middle management and supervisory Leadership to serve the organizations future needs. A mix of key business topics involving contemporary business management knowledge and content, case studies and pre and post assessments will be offered by eminent XLRI faculty. The intensive learning course will stretch to 8 month whereby tutorials and off-line support has also been built in the design.

XLRI was founded in 1949 and has always strove to be a management school with a difference.

Farhad Irani, Head of Retail Banking Group at Mashreq commented, “It is important to invest in the middle management and to further enhance their competencies to lead and manage superior customer experiences.” Emphasizing that Retail business is people business, he said that this is an opportunity for them to hone their business skills in their early/mid-career and this is Mashreq’s way of giving back to its staff.

Head of Mashreq Learning Systems (MLS) R. Yuvakumar highlighted the learning & development vision of Mashreq and its focus towards building a holistic success profile. “The XLRI program uniqueness lies in its difference and the fact that it complements the existing Mashreq leadership development Program strategy (MLDP) by sharpening the business management competency component of the success profile, especially at the middle management level”

Director of XLRI Fr. E. Abraham shared the legacy and vision of the Institution to create excellence in management education and complimented the Mashreq leadership for its path breaking steps to enhance the quality of its leadership through training and development.

Director of AIMS Mr. Sebastian shared the approach adopted for the Program and the significance of the modules.
