Mashreq achieves 42% of Emiratisation

Reflecting its commitment towards Emiratisation, Mashreq reported 42% of Emirati workforce across the bank, an increase from 2011. The bank’s latest participation at the 12th edition of Careers UAE 2012 attracted increasing number of UAE Nationals interested to work in the banking industry.

Mashreq’s Emiraitsation strategy includes various initiatives to attract and offer career growth opportunities. The bank’s stand at Careers UAE 2012 exhibition was designed to portray Emirati employees in various leading position within the bank, which demonstrates Mashreq’s commitment to accelerate the career growth of UAE Nationals.

Mariam Al Ali, Emiratisation Manager, Mashreq said, “At Mashreq, we believe in human capital investment, which ultimately contributes to sustaining development of the country. Through various internal and external initiatives, we have succeeded to attract highly trained and experienced UAE Nationals employees, offering them more than just a job, but rather an actual career.”

The bank has developed dedicated programs to recruit, train, develop and retain UAE Nationals employees, both on full-time and part-time basis. Mashreq is also a keen supporter to the education segment, through organizing constant visits to colleges and universities to share the fundamentals and basic tools of banking.
