Markazia Holds Annual ‘Technical Skills’ Competition for Service Advisors and Technicians

Markazia (Central Trade and Auto Company), the sole distributor of Toyota, Lexus and Hino vehicles in Jordan, held its annual ‘Technical Skills’ competition at the Lexus Maintenance Center in Bayader, Wadi Al-Seer. The event saw the participation of a number of advisors and technicians, all of whom had successfully passed the intensive training courses held by Markazia throughout the year.

The competition was divided into four categories, including one for ‘technical advisors’, which witnessed the attendance of a high-caliber delegation of engineers from Toyota's representative office in Bahrain, who praised the exceptional level of knowledge and skills of Jordan's maintenance engineers at Markazia. Other categories included ‘technicians’ and ‘service advisors’ as well as ‘express maintenance teams’, whereby specialists from various maintenance branches of the company had their theoretical and practical skills put to the test in a healthy competition that reflected the level of their skills and technical knowledge.

At the end of the competition, the winners from each category were honored with prizes. Those who were awarded first place also have the opportunity to take part in the annual gathering of winners from around the world, to be held in Japan next year.

“The annual ‘Technical Skills’ competition serves to reaffirm the high stature of Markazia’s maintenance team and to showcase their knowledge, skills and competence in dealing with the various technical problems of Toyota and Lexus vehicles,” said Nadim Haddad, Deputy General Manager of Markazia. “We are pleased to be the first, among Toyota dealerships worldwide, to organize a special competition for engineers.
