Jordan Ahli Bank sponsors the Black Iris Festival and gives valuable prizes

In line with its ongoing aims to support initiatives that target youth, Jordan Ahli Bank was the platinum sponsor of the annual Black Iris Festival, held at the Exit Club on Friday October 5, 2012.
The Jordan Ahli Bank’s booth attracted so many visitors, most of whom entered a raffle draw on an iPhone and Samsung Galaxy handsets. To be eligible for the draw, visitors had to write on paper what the phrase “My Power of Change” meant to them, through an activity inspired by the Bank’s slogan.
Commenting on the Bank’s support for the event, Deputy CEO / Head of Group Strategy and Corporate Communications at Jordan Ahli Bank, Mr. SaadMouasher explained that the Bank is always keen on supporting initiatives that target less fortunate citizens, children, and youth. He further added that the Bank’s support of this event falls in line with its long term CSR strategy, a strategy geared towards offering talented members of the community a chance to play an active and pivotal role in the Kingdom’s journey towards development.
The Festival, in its 5th edition, featured several music concerts, and a standup comedy showpresented by Nabil Swalha’s local comedy troupe “Fawq Al Sada”.Further lending a space for Jordanian families to enjoy a day of entertainment, the event hosted a playarea for kids, a handicrafts market, a food court, amongst other attractions.
Booth visitors were also greeted by the Bank’s helpful team members, who were allmore than willing to answer all guest questions regarding its different financial products and services.
Also highlighting the event’s agenda was atalent competition, which allowed visitors to enjoy singing shows, dancing shows, and other group performances presented by talented Jordanian youth. These performances were judged by a panel of Jordanian artists, and competition winners were given the chance to enjoy cash prizes and an opportunity to develop their talents further.
It is worth mentioning that all proceeds from the Black Iris Festivalwent towards charity causes, including causes that sponsor the education of children with special needs and orphans, and for securing academic scholarships for this sector.
