Jannah Hotels & Resorts acts in synch with the world for earth hour

The award-winning Jannah Hotels & Resorts partook in the simultaneous Earth Hour on 25 March 2017.
At exactly 8:30 pm local time, all the lights across Jannah Hotels & Resorts were switched off in participation for the hour-long worldwide environmental campaign. Dozens of talents and guests in respective lobbies of Jannah properties, including Jannah Burj Al Sarab, Jannah Place Abu Dhabi, Jannah Place Dubai Marina, Jannah Marina Bay Suites and Jannah Resort & Villas Ras Al Khaimah, gathered together, holding lit candles and showing momentous involvement in the effort to change climate change.
An advocate of green technology and sustainability, the group ensures conservation is practiced in all daily operations of the properties. Jannah Burj Al Sarab is a leader in the field of resource sustainability with water heaters powered by solar panels, motion sensor LED lighting and eco-friendly room management system. In addition, the hotel installed systems that regulate water usage and AC efficiency, while the talents are trained to minimize paper wastage through the use of paperless software management. The hotel’s all-day dining, The Dining Room, has implemented candlelit dining since the concept change late last year. Meanwhile Jannah Resort & Villas Ras Al Khaimah has started building up their green initiatives that will include motion sensor LED lighting system, energy-saving room lamps and centralized control system for AC efficiency in all the guest rooms.
“With the birth of the Jannah brand came an innovation to uphold ecology,” said Jannah Hotels & Resorts chief operating officer Mohamed Hani Fakih. “Such social responsibility practice is based upon our brand’s Al Ihsan foundation, which believes the reward of goodness is the result of goodness done. This is where we obtain our inspiration from.”
