Imdaad staff go extra mile at Trakhees’ ‘GO GREEN 2016’ eco-run
Employees of Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated facilities, waste and energy management solutions in the GCC, made happy strides for the environment during the GO GREEN 2016 Fun Run and Road Race held recently at the Jebel Ali Technopark. ‘Khaddour,’ the green leaf -shaped mascot for Imdaad’s flagship ‘Be’ati’ (‘My Environment’) Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, added light-hearted moments to the event by cheering on Imdaad’s enthusiastic eco-runners.
Organized by Trakhees, the Environment, Health and Safety arm of Dubai’s Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, GO GREEN is a friendly annual event that gathers clients, partners and friends to run for the environment. Imdaad’s group joined both the 3km Fun Run and the more challenging 5km Road Race this year. Khaddour took the opportunity to create awareness on sustainable environmental practices and waste segregation and explained how ‘Be’ati’ actively encourages society, especially children, to become more environmentally responsible.
