Imdaad Receives Esco Accreditation and CEBC Membership

Imdaad, a Dubai-based integrated facilities management solutions provider with a strong presence in the GCC, has achieved two significant milestones that will enable it to make headway in the region’s energy management services sector. The company has been accredited by the Dubai Government’s Regulatory and Supervisory Bureau (RSB) for electricity and water as an Energy Services Company (ESCO) and was awarded the coveted membership of the Clean Energy Business Council (CEBC).

The provisional accreditation by RSB recognizes that Imdaad has achieved a robust financial status and is fully equipped with highly-qualified and exceptionally skilled personnel needed to deliver a comprehensive range of innovative, technology-driven energy-saving solutions in the emirate.

Imdaad joins more than 100-member organizations of the CEBC based in Abu Dhabi’s Masdar City, which aims to contribute to the development of a clean energy future in the MENA region. The membership will provide Imdaad unrestricted access to the council’s research projects for the industry and the signature events.

The accreditation scheme for ESCO is a part of a regulatory framework RSB developed in 2014 with the aim of reducing Dubai’s carbon footprint. The agency has set a target of 30 percent energy-saving improvement in the emirate by 2030.

“The recognition will also encourage us to step up our efforts to align our business strategy with the Dubai Government’s plan to have 30,000 of the emirate’s buildings retrofitted for energy efficiency by 2030,” added Mr. Lootah.
