HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi honors ADIB for achieving the highest Emiratization rate in the Banking industry in 2011

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), an industry leader in Emiratisation initiatives, announced today that it has been recognized for its continued commitment to Emiratization by the Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) and was presented with their Human Resource Development Award in the first category for 2011. The Bank also received an appreciation letter for achieving the highest Emiratization rate in the Banking industry for 2011 of 48%.

HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the Supreme Council, and HE Jamal Al Jasmi, General Manager of Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies presented the Human Resource Development Award (HRD Award) to Waheeb Al Khazraji, Head of Human Resources in ADIB on the sidelines of the National Career Exhibition at Sharjah Expo Centre.

Commenting on the award, Mr. Tirad Mahmoud, CEO of ADIB, said: “The EIBFS HRD Award will sharpen our focus on achieving excellence in Emiratisation initiatives which are critical to our success. This is a remarkable achievement and another confirmation of our position as a leader in Emiratisation and our commitment of training UAE national talents and develop them to become leading professionals in the banking and financial industry.”

“Over the past year ADIB has increased headcount, especially of UAE nationals, and increased its reach across the UAE with new branches. Its leadership training program has been noted by the industry for its professionalism and world class curriculum as it takes trainees through both classroom and on-the-job training,” added Tirad Mahmoud.

ADIB received recruitment applications from UAE nationals interested in taking a banking and finance career path at its stand during the exhibition. It has been an active participant at various career fairs in the UAE, aiming to attract, train and retain UAE national talents which resulted in ADIB winning the HRD Award in 2009 and the best executive award for Emiratisation in 2011.
