Emirates Islamic Bank collects AED 200,000 for Pakistan Flood Relief
Emirates Islamic Bank (EIB) announced the collection of AED 200,000 in response to the donation campaign initiated to help people affected by the flood in Pakistan.
The AED 200,000 cheque was handed over to Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment at a ceremony attended by His Excellency Adviser Ibrahim Bu Melha, Chairman of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, and Mohammed Alabbar Head of Government and Strategic Relationships from Emirates Islamic Bank.
The donation reflects EIB’s commitment to supporting humanitarian issues across the globe, and to help mitigate the sufferings of the affected people which includes young infants, women and the elderly. EIB and its customers & staff recently contributed AED 1 million towards the Somali Relief Fund.
Mohammed Alabbar, Head of Government and Strategic Relationships stated: “We are delighted to support Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment in their noble cause, and wish to thank them for helping us being a part of it. We also wish to sincerely thank our customers and staff for their very generous contribution on an ongoing basis.”
Donations can still be made to the Emirates Islamic Bank account number Pakistan Flood Relief Fund Account” A/C 0020- 399466-001 through the bank’s 34 branches in the UAE, or through their online banking facility. These funds will be used to help the needy through Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, who are actively involved in this noble effort in Pakistan.
