The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to experience a strong influx of visitors traveling to its holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. The number of religious tourists is even expected to surpass historical levels in the coming years. Recent news from Ministry of Hajj has shown that visiting hajj pilgrims are expected to increase to 5 million in the next five years, while Umrah performers are expected to reach 20 million in 5 years’ time.

In a bid to promote Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector particularly for religious purposes, Elaf Group, a SEDCO Holding Group company and a local key industry player, has finished its tours to Egypt, Turkey, Morocco, Indonesia, Tunis and the UK. In addition, the Group’s marketing team recognized travel agents for their significant efforts and contributions during the Ummrah and Hajj seasons. The honors were given during special ceremonies attended by Elaf Group President Ziyad Bin Mahfouz, the Chief Operating Officer and other division heads.

Bin Mahfouz pointed out that the Group is fully committed to the development and growth of all aspects of the domestic tourism industry. In this regard, the marketing team travels to all major markets every year to promote the Group’s services in particular and the Kingdom’s tourism in general.

“The success of Elaf Group is closely linked to the performance of our valued dealers across the region. In recognition of their important role, we honor our key travel agents especially those that deliver outstanding performance consistently year-on-year. During the Hajj season, our key dealers’ exceptional delivery of services highlighted yet again our common vision for high quality and excellence, both of which are central to our sustained success,” concluded Bin Mahfouz.
