Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority Marks Flag Day Alongside Nation

In line with the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, mandating ministries, federal authorities and their affiliates to raise the UAE flag together on November 2, Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body of Dubai Silicon Oasis, the integrated free zone technology park, joined the nation in celebrating the UAE’s fifth Flag Day.

Flag Day coincides with the anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's accession to the office of President of the UAE.

Shahla Abdul Razak, Deputy CEO of DSOA, hoisted the UAE national flag at DSOA's headquarters at 11am. Following the raising of the flag, hundreds of balloons in the colors of the UAE flag were released. The event drew the participation of heads of departments, staff members, residents, and representatives of companies operating in DSO.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahla Abdul Razak, said: “We warmly congratulate His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Their Highnesses the Members of the Federal Supreme Council on this glorious occasion. We also ask God Almighty to protect our wise leadership and to preserve the unity of our dear homeland so that we may keep the UAE flag flying high.”

She added: “Flag Day is an opportunity to pledge our allegiance to our beloved nation through hard work and dedication that will ensure our country achieves even greater progress and prosperity. It is also an occasion to recollect the accomplishments of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who instilled a love for the homeland, the true meaning of loyalty, and the value of giving within us.

“Today we join the people of this great country in celebrating our rich past, our present milestones, and our dreams for a future filled with hope for our new generations. They will continue to hold the flag high as the nation marches forward to celebrate one hundred years of achievements and more.”
