Dubai Customs hosts unified IPR workforce

Dubai Customs’ Intellectual Property Rights Department (IPR Department) hosted a meeting for the Unified IPR Workforce which coordinates IPR activities among ministries and relevant authorities in the UAE.
Yousef Ozair Mubarak, Director of IPR Department at Dubai Customs headed the meeting in Dubai Customs main building in the presence of Abdullah Al Tillai of the Ministry of Economy, Mohammed Al Daleel from the Federal Customs Authority, Ahmed Mohammed Sarhan from the National Media Council, Ibrahim Bahzad from the Department of Economic Development, Mohammed Samih Ali from Dubai Health Authority, Omar bin Hindi from JAFZA, and Mahbouba Baqir, Manager of Awareness and Education Section at IPR Department.
Ozair welcomed the guests and highlighted the important role the Unified IPR Workforce plays in coordinating IPR efforts in the UAE.
“The Unified IPR Workforce is doing a great job coordinating activities and sharing information, and this urges us to work even harder to be fully prepared for Expo 2020. We at Dubai Customs open all channels of communication with all ministries and authorities to cooperate and support Dubai in hosting this remarkable event”.
Mahbouba Baqir presented a number of suggestions and ideas from Dubai Customs to help improve the Unified IPR Workforce’s performance even further.
At the end of the meeting, the participants thanked Dubai Customs for its initiatives and efforts in protecting intellectual rights and supporting legitimate trade.
