Dubai Chamber to train Chinese interns
With its commitment to the success of the Dubai Business Internships programme initiated by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry will train Chinese graduates over the next seven months.
As a programme partner, Dubai Chamber will impart entrepreneurial training to two Chinese students in its International Relations and Corporate Development departments starting from October. The interns will be thoroughly trained to develop as business leaders of the future.
Mr. Essa Al Zaabi, Senior Vice-President, Institutional Support Sector, Dubai Chamber, stated that the Chamber is fully supporting the Dubai Business Internships programme which offers Chinese students an unrivalled opportunity to study and do business in Dubai.
As the programme imparts an understanding of fundamental business concepts, including business economics, project management, corporate strategy and business ethics, the interns at the Chamber will learn about dealing with the multicultural customers and stakeholders as well as the techniques of doing business in Dubai, the business culture of the wider region and the opportunities that it has to offer to overseas investors, said Al Zaabi.
He added, ‘‘In light of the programme’s importance in promoting Dubai as a dynamic and multicultural hub for global commerce, Dubai Chamber is also committed to take more interns during its next intake for 2015-2016 as this caters to the Chamber’s new strategy of Pro-Dubai promoting and spreading awareness about the benefits of investing in the emirate while highlighting its open market and business-friendly policies and legislation.”
The Dubai Business Internships programme is organised by Falcon and Associates, and is based on the European School of Management and Technology’s philosophy of ‘participant-centred learning’. The training modules include a combination of group projects, relevant case studies, workshops and classroom-based discussions as well as work placement.
