Dubai Bank names winners of children’s Ramadan drawing competition

After a nationwide search for the country’s best young artists, Dubai Bank today announced the winners of its Ramadan drawing competition.

Ahmed Abdullah Al Hantoubi, a 7-year-old Emirati boy, won first prize with his colorful drawing of children Eid celebrations while Reem Tarek Alalmeh, a 7-year-old Lebanese girl, took second place. In addition to their prize of a 32GB iPad, the competition winners will now have their artwork featured in local newspapers as part of Dubai Bank’s Eid advertising campaign.  

Mr. Waleed Saeed Al Awadi, Dubai Bank, Head of Branches and Royal Banking, Deputy Chief Marketing Officer, said: “The children’s Ramadan competition highlights Dubai Bank’s long-term commitment to offer customers a personalised banking experience. The response from customers and their children has been tremendous and we are proud to have provided a channel for children to discover and develop their creative skills. What’s more, the winners now have the honour of seeing their work appear across the UAE as part of the bank’s official Eid Greeting campaign.”

The Dubai Bank Ramadan drawing competition was open tochildren aged 5-13 yearswhose parents are Dubai Bank customers. In a two-stage competition, children first submitted their best drawing via Dubai Bank’s website. A panel of experts assessed all entries to create a shortlist of 20 artists. Finalists and their parents were then invited to a special Suhoor event to gain inspiration before submitting their final drawing around the theme of Eid.
