Doha Bank hosts Quiz competition for its staff members

Doha Bank, the leading private commercial bank in Qatar, recently hosted a quiz competition for members of its staff. The event welcomed 19 teams of three individuals competing to answer questions tailored to demonstrate their knowledge of Qatar, its business environment and traditions in themed sessions that included sports, food, entertainment, technology and general knowledge rounds.

Many members of the Bank’s senior management as well as representatives of the human resources department attended the event and joined various other staff members in cheering the participants.

Doha Bank Group CEO, Dr. R. Seetharaman congratulated the teams for their efforts and thanked the staff organizing committee for putting together a successful event: “Staff inclusion and team building is important to Doha Bank and we always want to encourage our staff to participate in such activities. The information shared in these sessions can be beneficial to better understand local customs, in addition to being conversation starters that can help build good business and personal relationships.”

Head of Human Resources at Doha Bank, Mr. Abdul Rahman Ali A. Al Mohammed added: “This was an excellent event and we hope to have greater numbers participating in next year’s event. It has also helped the Human Resources department to identify many staff members who have knowledge retention abilities that can help them in their careers. We are especially proud of Mr. Rohit Bhasin from the Training Department for doing an excellent job as Quiz Master and MC.”

The top prize was won by the Bancassurance division team of Chetan Kamboj, Amit Kumar, and Sanjay Muthiravilayil. They were followed respectively by teams from the FRD, Investments, Finance and CCB units of the bank. These teams made up the top five teams and grand finalists of the competition.
