Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced that the construction progress of the 132/11 kilovolt (kV) Sustainability substation at Expo 2020 Dubai is 77% complete, according to a statement.

The station is expected to operate by 31 October.

The total cost of the project was AED 103 million, including AED 83.4 million for the plant and AED 19.8 million for the 132 kV cables.

DEWA is building three 132/11 kV substations with 45 kilometres of high-voltage 132 kV cables valued at AED 420 million.
