DED congratulates IKEA for quick recall of hazardous junior beds

The Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai has expressed its appreciation for IKEA for recalling its KRITTER and SNIGLAR brands of junior beds to avoid any likely injury to users. The home furnishings retail chain announced the recall after a reported breakage of a metal rod in the two products.

The breakage was reported to have affected only KRITTER junior beds with date stamp 1114 to 1322 and SNIGLAR junior beds with date stamp 1114 to 1318. IKEA has not received any complaints of injuries caused by the products mentioned yet has offered a full repair kit free of charge to customers with the affected products. Consumers can visit their local IKEA store, call the toll free number 800 4532 or visit the website www.IKEAuae.com and collect the repair kits.
