Canon Middle East, world-leader in imaging solutions, is responding to the increasing demand for cost-effective and sustainable high-quality document management with the launch of four remanufactured editions of best-selling A3 multifunctional devices (MFDs): the black-and-white iR3025Ne, iR3045Ne, iR5065Ne and the colour IRC3580Ne.

The devices are remanufactured at Canon’s unique factory facility in Giessen, Germany. The team’s technical know-how, spanning more than 40 years of copier manufacturing, allows devices to be remanufactured using up to 93% of existing components (by weight), thereby minimising the need for new resources and reducing carbon dioxide emissions. This also makes it possible to offer the new range of products at a price that is up to 60% lower than devices with similar functionality manufactured using entirely new components.

Canon’s remanufacturing programme effectively gives used devices a second life through a full-factory process in which they are disassembled to the bare frame level, extensively checked and cleaned, and then rebuilt using existing and new parts. All wearing parts are replaced with new ones regardless of their condition to guarantee performance, and the machines are updated to comply with the latest quality standards and legal regulations. Canon’s remanufactured devices are equivalent in appearance, quality and warranty protection to a completely new device ensuring customers don’t need to compromise on cost or environmental responsibility when producing business-critical documents.

The devices from the new remanufactured range are selected among the best-selling models from the imageRUNNER range with proven build quality and performance. A large 7.5” touch-screen and the imageRUNNER user-interface ensure ease-of-use and access to a range of document management and security features. The devices can be installed as a stand-alone solution or as part of a larger print fleet or Managed Print Service (MPS) implementation because they can be integrated with capture and output management solutions such as uniFLOW and eCopy.

Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East comments; “By considering every stage of the product lifecycle, the remanufactured devices represent Canon’s continuous commitment to delivering high-quality and functional products with reduced environmental impact.”
