Canadian Specialist Hospital raises breast cancer awareness at Dubai Women’s Association – Al Khawaneej

Canadian Specialist Hospital (CSH),one of the largest private hospitals in Dubai catering to the tertiary health care needs of the Middle East, today helped raise awareness about breast cancer through a number of activities at the Dubai Women’s Association in AlKhawaneej, Dubai.

A CSH Doctor performed free breast cancer screenings for women at the association’s clinic, and if further tests are required, CSH pledged to provide free mammograms and ultrasounds to a number of women.

The screenings were followed by a presentation on the disease, the importance of early detection, and breast self-examination methods.

Established in 1974, the Dubai Women’s Association is mandated with supporting families and local communities, while Khawaneej branch, established in 1988, is one of the oldest and most active of the Association. The association offers a host of activities and services, including lectures, forums, festivals, exhibitions and programs that benefit women, children and families.
