Burgan Bank Sponsors the 4th Edition of Al Ahmadi’s Blood Donation Campaign

Burgan Bank announced that it will be sponsoring and actively participating in Al Ahmadi Governorate’s blood donation drive campaign for the fourth year in a row. The campaign, titled “Every Drop…Saves a Life,” is set to take place at Al-Kout Mall on June 9, 2023, under the auspice of His Excellency Sheikh Fawaz Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Al Ahmadi Governor. The campaign comes as part of Burgan Bank’s social responsibility program, which involves a range of goals, including raising the public’s awareness of health and wellness.
Given the grave importance of helping all those in need of blood transfusions across Kuwait, Burgan Bank continues to sponsor the annual blood donation drive, in cooperation with the Blood Transfusion Services Department at the Ministry of Health (MOH), in a bid to educate the public on the importance of regularly carrying out this notable humanitarian act of donating blood at the healthy frequency recommended by the MOH and Kuwait Central Blood Bank.
In light of the Bank’s renewed support for the annual blood donation drive, Ms. Hessa Hussain Al-Najadah, Senior Manager of Corporate and CSR Communications at Burgan Bank, commented: “We continue to focus our efforts on promoting the health sector in Kuwait as part of our social responsibility program and our culture of supporting all segments of society. To this effect, we continue to sponsor the annual blood donation drive to educate the public on the importance of regularly donating blood throughout the year to ensure a sufficient supply of blood components to relevant banks across Kuwait.”
On his part, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Foudari, Director of the Technical Office and Chairman of the Organizing Committee at Al Ahmadi Governorate, explained that the campaign coincides with World Blood Donor Day and is held under the slogan “Every Drop…Saves a Life”, which reflects the goal pursued by the governorate to save the lives of others by increasing the strategic stock of the Blood Bank, especially with the onset of the summer season that witnesses a severe decrease in blood supplies. He also lauded the official, civil and voluntary efforts that would contribute to achieving this noble humanitarian goal in light of the success of the campaigns held during the past three years. 
Moreover, Al-Foudari thanked Burgan Bank, the official sponsor of the campaign, and all the participants and supporters for all their efforts toward serving the community. He also called on everyone to participate in donating blood and contributing to saving the lives of patients in need.
