Bahrain Islamic Bank announced the winners of its Outstanding Achievements Award.

Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), the leading provider of digital banking services in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the winners of its Outstanding Achievements Award. The competition was launched last December with the aim of celebrating exceptional Bahrainis in the community with pioneering achievements across various fields with cash prizes up to BHD 10,000. The initiative aimed to recognize distinguished Bahraini talents and innovators by highlighting their achievements and successes locally, regionally, and globally.

One of the winning initiatives, “iHand,”mobile application was proposed by Mr. Hameed Marhoon and Mr. Ayoob Asad and received a cash prize of BHD 5,000. The digital platform aims to connect people of determination with the relevant individuals to help support, qualify, and refine the talents of this segment. The initiative aims to create an effective and accessible communication platform between both parties, which will enable greater support for people of determination, in addition to breaking down barriers and concerns by showcasing success stories and providing support, employment, and training opportunities.

Additionally, Bahraini champion Hasan Naseef won a cash prize of BHD 5,000 for his skills in solving a Rubik’s Cube. His talents have earned him a first-place win twice on a local level and a third-place position on a Gulf level. In addition to participating in numerous local and regional tournaments and competitions, he has successfully represented the Kingdom in a number of 3D mechanical forums and has high hopes to reach a global arena in which he can position Bahrain on an international scale.

The two winners were selected after several rounds of evaluation conducted by a dedicated panel of judges comprising of: Ms. Afnan Saleh, Chief Human Resources Officer at BisB, Ms. Naeema Taheri, Chief Compliance Officer at BisB, Mr. Faisal Al Abdulla, Acting Head of Retail Banking at BisB, Mr. Jawad Humaidan, the Bank’s Chief Corporate & Institutional Banking Officer, and Ms. Shereen Bushehri, Managing Director of TRACCS. The preliminaries resulted in the selection of 5 contestants, who each presented their ideas and achievements for evaluation under the set guidelines: authenticity and uniqueness, goal dimensions, quality of the submission, and the positive impact of this achievement on the Bahraini community.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Yaser Alsharifi, Chief Executive Officer of BisB, said: “On behalf of everyone at BisB, I would like to extend my congratulations to Mr. Hameed Marhoon, Mr. Ayoob Asad, and Mr. Hasan Naseef, for winning BisB’s Outstanding Achievements Award, with a cash prize of BHD 5,000 for each winner. Launching at the end of the year in conjunction with the National Day celebrations, the competition was a celebration of unique Bahraini achievements, including innovative and pioneering ideas, distinctive projects, record-breaking achievements, and obtaining an accredited educational certificate or qualification in a prestigious field of study. The initiative was announced on the Bank’s official website and social media channels, resulting in over 800 submissions in 30 days from applicants ages 5 to 66 across a wide range of categories, including sports, business concepts, education, health, filmmaking, programming, and virtual reality.
